Rooted in the green depths of Dorset, my practice listens closely to environments and ecologies inspired by and fluctuating between its celebration and a sense of urgency. Observing the inherent and complicated beauty of the living world while also calling for the defence of its fragile, ongoing existence.
Working with sound, found objects, sculpture, light, film, and event, I aim to explore entanglements within the world, focusing in on inter-relations between the more-than-human and ourselves.
In this time of urgency and flux my creative approach is deliberately unfixed and instead aims to be responsive, and open to be shaped by encounters, discoveries, moments, to reflect the shifting interconnections of the ecologies from which the work emerges, and possibly to stimulate positive futures.
Grounded in connection to the land and the more-than-human, my work aims to invite shared dialogue and reflection on our place within the world. In a time that calls for radical change, my practice seeks to foster care while confronting inequality, acknowledging the intertwined futures of human and non-human lives.
